How It Works
Initial Site Visit and Consultation
The first-and most important-step of the trail building process, is making meeting with our clients and listening to what it is they hope to accomplish with their trails. We'll walk your property with you and take measurements, photos, and GPS recordings. Quite often, multiple site visits are required gather the relevant information needed to put together an estimate. For large municipal and commercial projects, a full master plan will be conducted to ensure all aspects of the trail projects are considered, including budgets, timelines, specific user needs, and maintenance.
We'll put together a proposal, which includes maps showing the proposed trail, and a breakdown of costs, including those for materials, equipment, and labor. We'll review the proposal, make any requested changes until you're happy with the final product.
Once you decide you would like to go forward with the project, we'll work with your schedule to determine when we can start. We'll go over all logistics of the project with you, answer any questions you may have, and then, we'll break ground! We'll keep you updated and involved throughout the entire build process.
When the Trail is finished, we'll take a hike on your new trail with you to get your feedback. We will take note of any minor changes you'd like to see and do any needed finishing touches. We want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your new trail.
Trails will often require some degree of maintenance over time. We'll give you our opinion on suggested maintenance to protect your investment. Many clients chose to do their own maintenance, while others chose to schedule regular maintenance visits.
